Terms

The following information is for your reference. It includes important suggestions and pertinent information about some of our policies. Please read carefully and ask us any questions you may have. Further terms and conditions are set out on your lease.

Your rent is due on the first day of each month without demand. If you provide an email address, we will send out a reminder invoice. If you choose not to supply an email address, you won’t be invoiced. Do not mail cash! For your convenience, you may leave post-dated cheques or complete a credit card authorization form. We also offer the convenience of online payments. If you mail your payment, allow adequate time for it to reach our office by the due date. Prepayment is also an option, but be advised that prepaid rent is non-refundable so please ensure you will require the unit for the length of time that you are prepaying. If you still need the unit at the end of your prepayment term, rent is due without demand.

A late fee will be charged if your payment is not received by the seventh day of each month. A fee will be also be charged for all returned cheques.

You must come to the rental office and check out with one of our managers after you have vacated your locker. This will ensure that your file is removed from the computer and no future charges will be levied. All units must be left completely empty and undamaged. Please note that we do not provide any garbage removal service – everything must be taken with you when you leave.

A full month’s fee is charged for checkouts after the seventh day of the month. Checkouts on or before the seventh will be pro-rated.

Canadian Self Storage Inc. carries no insurance on your property and assumes no liability for same. If you don’t have alternate coverage, a third-party insurance policy is provided. Please speak with one of our helpful managers for further information.

For your safety and the safety of all our valued customers, storing flammable, explosive, perishable materials and all food items is strictly prohibited.

You must notify us in writing if you change your address, phone numbers, etc. You must also notify us in writing of any credit card information changes if you have left a card number on file.

Provided your account is fully paid, access to your unit is unlimited – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

Our regular office hours for our sites are as follows:

Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday (Doncaster only) 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Sunday (York Mills only) CLOSED
